Kettle Creek State Park is an 1,800 acre park that straddles Kettle Creek, near Renovo, PA. In addition to fishing and paddling, it offers hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, camping, snowmobiling, and ice fishing as primary recreational attractions. Mostly surrounded by the Sproul State Forest, it is a beautiful little park with friendly and enthusiastic staff members. One of them told us about some of the things you can make with dandelions, and had us sample dandelion jelly. Tasty! The lower campground (no dogs) is creekside and very attractive; the upper campground is on a hillside overlooking the reservoir. It is less appealing but adequate.
