This was a poorly planned day on my part. I had a 5pm entry to the Borghese Gallery. I started the day with a walk through the Jewish Ghetto to look for a few things I'd missed during yesterday's walking tour. Then I walked over toward Villa Borghese, hoping to visit a few other things in the area. But one of the sights I was planning to visit was Villa Medici, adjacent to the Borghese Gardens, and I neglected to check ahead, or I would have discovered that it is only accessible by scheduled tours, and I had timed it badly, so I had three hours to kill. I did it mostly be wandering around the Gardens. Finally visited the Gallery, which was great, and which gave me an appreciation for Bernini's brilliance as a sculptor, just about on a par with Michelangelo.
Unfortunately, the painting gallery upstairs is under renovation, and only a few rooms were open.
