On April 22 and 24, 2023, 57 students (female: 30, male 27) from Chea Sim Takeo High School visit Takeo Documenation Center, DC-Cam's Stupa and anti-genocide slogans, and Kraing Ta Chan Genocide Memorial. The trip was organized by Takeo Documentation Center with help of two history teachers. Purpose of this educational tour was to provide the students an extra knowledge of a History of Democratic Kampuchea (1975-1979), as well as to get them stay in touch with KR survivors who gave their talks to the students during a visit to DC-Cam's stupa and anti-genocide slogans and Kraing Ta Chan genocide memorial. VISIT TO TAKEO DOCUMENTATION CENTER: Students were introduced to many photo taken during and after Khmer Rouge regime, which were displayed inside and outside the Center. Some students asked questions about the photos. Pheng Pong-Rasy and his team answered all the questions from the students. VISIT TO DCCAM'S STUPA AND ANTI-GENOCIDE SLOGANS Students were toured to Trapeang Svay village, Ta Phem Commune, Tram Kak District to visit a stupa and anti-genocide slogans built by DC-Cam in 2020. Mr. Suos Ra, a village chief of Trapeang Svay, gave his talks to the students. His talks was about his background of former KR soldier and the place of Tuol Theat's background. He also thanks DC-Cam for effort to build the stupa and the slogans. Pheng Pong-Rasy provided his talk about the objectives of building the stupa and the slogans. VISIT TO KRAING TA CHAN GENOCIDE MEMORIAL SITE After about one hour at Trapeang Svay, all students continued their visit to Kraing Ta Chan KR's Killing Field, which is located in Kus commune, Tram Kak District. At Kraing Ta Chan, the student visited many remaining mass grave sites, bones and skulls displayed inside the white stupa, and KR prisons. Pheng Pong-Rasy told the students about Kraing Ta Chan KR security office using his Mapping report written in 1998 during field research at this location.
