September Breakfast Cruise: The annual tradition of the Catalina Breakfast Cruise continued, in one form or another. Many thanks to the 2017 Batter Blaster Team of Clay, Robert, and James for fantastic cruise. We looked for a cove that allowed comfortable and safe access from both land and water. On Saturday evening, 4 boats (C22, C22, C250, & C30) and 6 sailors anchored in Barry's Cove. We had sausage, chicken & steak for dinner. It was a lovely evening under the stars and setting moon. Temperatures 72-90 and winds 0-12 knots. Up with the sun on Sunday morning, we feasted on pancakes, scrambled eggs, bird's nests, and sausage. After a swim, we headed to Ernie's on the Lake, near the high-lines. At Ernie's, there were 16 sailors and landlubbers. The view of the lake was great and food and service were good. There's a very nice set of docks between the shoreline and a motor-boat marina. The numbers: 6 overnight, 16 at lunch, 18 participants, Lake level 671.5'.
