Hi there! This is a little project I started after moving to Hong Kong in July of 2022. My goal is to take at least one picture of all trams ("ding dings") currently in service on Hong Kong Island. There are about 170 trams in service according to the information I found online (numbered 1 to 175). My current understanding based on a 2020 fleet list published by the Hong Kong Trams Culture Preservation Society is that the numbers 44, 63, 71, 85, 134, 144, 164 and 167 are all unassigned at the moment. This is reflected in the corresponding placeholder images. I count only pictures where the tram is not too obstructed and the number is clearly visible. There are 2 regular tram numbers missing from my collection (not counting non-regular trams which includes Nr. 200 on display in Ocean Park and the work trams Nr. 200, 300 and 400): Nr. 100 & Nr. 101. I am not sure those even exist (after all I have been on the lookout for them for more than 1.5 years at this point) but I will keep looking until I catch them or get some confirmation that they are not in use for some reason. Thanks for checking this out! - J
