The summer of 17, mostly back home, was pretty nice too. It included paddling some wonderful eastern rivers, paddling the Ottawa River in Ontario for a week, catching up with friends and family, building and learning to use a sailing kayak, living in my house again (!), and helping to teach a few kayaking classes. On my way out of town, I was able to spend last weekend paddling some of my favorite rivers (Upper Yough, Upper and Lower Gauley, and the New River Gorge) with some of my best paddling buddies one more time. Great send-off!
So now, after about 10 weeks back home, I'm off on my next big trip, this time to explore some of the great rivers and parks in southern Colorado and Utah. Below are a few pictures that show some summer highlights. Will send periodic updates from the Colorado Plateau.
