Ramaiah International Centre for Public Health Innovations (RICPHI) in association with National Service Scheme - Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS); Dept. of Cardiology, Ramaiah Medical College(RMC); Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy; and Department of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences, (RUAS) organized an awareness drive on World Heart Day (Theme: Use Heart for Every Heart) on 29th September 2022 at the Auditorium, Faculty of Dental Sciences, RUAS. Besides interactive and informative sessions on healthy nutrition and lifestyle, physical activity and stress management for better heart health,, a novel e-learning course on "Basics of Preventive Cardiology" developed by RICPHI with RMC, was launched for community members, frontline workers and university students. Dr. Shalini C. Nooyi, Principal & Dean, RMC, distributed prizes to winners of an e-quiz on heart health, which was attempted by over 140 participants. The event, attended by nearly 250 participants, was managed by NSS student volunteers of RUAS.
