Thanks for purchasing the Ironcloud Metalworks ARB Awning Brackets... here are installation directions - there are some pictures below...
1 - Attach the awning side brackets to your awning by sliding the head of the M6 bolts into the t-channel on your awning. Place the bracket down onto the awning and tighten the nyloc nuts loosely on the brackets. They should be able to slide freely in the channels.
(NOTE: my awning -- pictured below -- uses captive square nuts -- but your awning will come with bolts and nyloc washers -- so the threaded portion of your screws will stick up from the awning).
2 - Next attach the awning brackets to your roof rack. Place the front bracket (the one with the key-hole) on the front of the rail and feed two bolts through the bottom underneath the side rail. Now slide the back bracket onto the bolts and thread on the nuts loosely.
Next -- install the top two bolts through the front bracket and above the side rail of your roof rack. Tighten enough that the bracket remains upright without support.
3 - Install a flange nut on each awning-side brackets on the protuding stud.
4 - Be sure to support the awning during this step. With a partner -- hold the awning up to the brackets and slide the awning-side brackets around until they match up with the roof-rack side brackets. Place the awning onto the brackets and slide them down the keyholes.
5 - While supporting the awning, tighten the awning-side brackets to the awning track. Now remove the awning from the brackets, taking care not to shift the rack-side brackets in the process.
6 - Now that everything is aligned --- you can fully tighten the roof-rack side brackets. Use an "X" pattern -- switching between bolts every couple turns -- to ensure that you tighten it down evenly. If you do not do an X-pattern to tighten it down -- the brackets may become unaligned -- they should stick straight up from the roof rail.
7 - With the awning off the vehicle, tighten the awning-side brackets again.
8 - Now slide the awning into your brackets. Tighten the flange nuts on the stud of each awning side bracket. Check for alignment -- you can make small adjustments to one bracket at a time until you are happy with how the awning sits.
9 -- periodically check brackets for tightness.
Once you have it set-up like this -- you can legitimately remove and install the awning in about 30 seconds!
