We first booked this trip for March 2020 - then the pandemic hit. It was rescheduled to 2021, when it was rescheduled yet again also due to the pandemic. Now it is 2022 and it's a go! We will be flying on Emirates with a layover in Dubai. We fly into Male, the capital of the Maldives. We'll rest up for 2 nights before boarding the Aggressor dive boat. Tri-rail is a great way to get to Miami airport. It’s roughly an hour drive, longer with traffic. The tri-rail ticket is $5. It dumps you off at the people mover that goes straight to the airport terminals.

Nearly 14 hours in the air. The plane was not full so I laid down across 3 empty seats for a few hours.
