We finished a couple of BIG projects just in time to clean up the boat for Lisa and Joe's arrival. Tom picked them up at Raiatea Airport's dinghy dock. We enjoyed the sunset and made plans with our friends aboard PANGAEA to circumnavigate Raiatea.

The next day we began our circumnavigation, passing the town of Uturoa. First stop was the Taputapuatea Marae on the east side of the island where CINNABAR and PANGAEA grabbed the two mooring balls.

We dinghied in to tour the famous historical marae believed to be the center of ancient Polynesian navigation. We thought the Men's restroom door was cute.
