Today is a "tender" day, meaning that we are anchored offshore, and will have to take a tender (small boat) to shore. As we're leaving the port in the early afternoon today, we take an organized tour with our friends, Lori and Vicki. We begin the tour with a walk on the beach, before heading into town (to see temples, of course)!

In Buddhism, every person has their own personal Buddha that they give honor to. Your personal Buddha is assigned to you based on which day you were born. My personal Buddha (Tuesday Buddha) is the Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas), and Melanie's personal Buddha (Friday Buddha) is the Contemplation Buddha (Phra Pang Rak Phueng).
