On Sunday 16th September 2018 a remembrance ceremony was held in memory of the fallen soldiers who liberated Eindhoven in the Second World War. These were members of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. On September 18, 1944, they put an end to the German occupation.
Representatives of the American embassy and members of the Airborne Friends Association were present.
The plaque was unveiled in 1969 by two veterans of the 101st Airborne Division.
