At the age of 39, Vance joined the Hanover Lions Club in January 1968. Within two years, he was specifically recognized in June 1970 for his outstanding service to the club. His outstanding service to the club, to the district, and to the Lions organization continued for the next 52 years. On April 1, 2022, Vance passed from this life at the age of 93. This album pays tribute to a Lion who lived well, served well, and loved doing both.

Vance became Club President for the 1973-1974 club year after years of serving in various officer roles prior to this.
