On Friday, we said good bye to fellow Zephyr Adventurers in Red Lodge, and started an 8-hour drive through Montana into Idaho.

OOPS! In the middle of eastern Oregon farm country, miles from a town, our "out-of-gas" light turned on. We'd been too engrossed in our audio book and forgot to fill up. Fortunately, we found a very nice farmer (with a Trump Country banner at his driveway entrance) who offered to sell a few gallons of his personal supply to get us to the next town. Human kindness -- we were so grateful! (But did not wear masks while looking for or talking to him, just in case!)

After our long day, we arrived at bustling Challis Hot Springs, a developed riverside camp ground with a bath-temperature pool.
