IF THE LORD DOES NOT HELP....... 2 Kings 6:25-27 25 There was a great famine in the city; the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty shekels of silver, and a quarter of a cab of seed pods for five shekels. 26 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, “Help me, my lord the king!” 27 The king replied, “If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?” Our world is experiencing economic implosion in many of it's geo-political entities, consequently causing inflation, and the fall of living standards.The natural tendency is to look up to heads of states, political leaders, and traditional authorities, which is looking in the wrong direction.The solution to a better life is a mystery to many of our leaders, especially those leading with a carnal knowledge, simply knowledge from books.Leaders and followers must know that there is a God in heaven who rules in the affairs of humans, and who reveals mysteries. We walk along the shore of this life merely picking pebbles while the great ocean of truth lay undiscovered. Book knowledge can only help us find and pick pebbles here and there along the shore, but knowledge of the God who rules in the affairs of humans makes us understand mysteries which makes us master our lives challenges. We've gotten to a point in life where everything looks like listening to parables. We need to get off religion, and following leaders who have high knowledge but little Obedience, and no sharing at all. And we need to seek relationship with God who gives the power to understand mysteries, then we can find a better life and rest for ourselves in our economies, societies, and families. Let us stop following blindly and start forming relational groupings, thinking through issues, talking, and reasoning.NO LEADER HAS AN ANSWER TO THIS GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISES. The king of Israel said to the woman who approached him for help in a time of economic implosion "if The Lord does not help you, where am I going to get help for you? From the threshing floor or from the wine press." Let us think of this. Love y'all.
